Submitted Bid for a House

Well, this is a big step for us but we secured pre-approval for a mortgage, found a property and have submitted a bid. They countered but it’s where I suspected as I submitted a low offer in hopes to get some leverage upon the counter. It looks like they’ll give up the Washer/Dryer/Fridge and pay closing (which is what I was looking for as it’s tough to bring so much to the table).

More updates as they become available.

April 15th

So I’m working the Cardinals vs Brewers game at Busch, this may be my last working day here due to a new job starting soon. It’s also the first semi-decent weather game this season… Last night was a cold and blustery spectacle of a game night. More after the game starts!

Skate Party

Okay, this evening my wife and I helped an old friend of hers celebrate the dirty thirty. It was held at a roller rink, this was pretty fun to say the least, a BYOB event with people trying to relive their “glory days”.

FICO, What’s that all about?

Okay, so over the past few years I have been trying to get to a better credit score. In the past I made really bad decisions, not paying bills, ignoring creditors, etc. But now I’m on top of the game and have paid off debts, have a really high interest rate auto loan, and have watched my credit score jump higher and higher. But in my quest for financial mastery I have become obsessed with finding out where I stand in the “clean world”. I have come to find out that Equifax (one of the biggest reporting agencies) has my score almost 70 points lower than the others, what gives? According to my other reports by Experian and Trans Union, I should be close to “good” and leaving the “fair” realm. But according to Equifax I’m still poor and high risk status.

Anyone else ever been in this spot? If so, what did you do?

Paddy’s Day

Okay my fellow drinkers, it’s my favorite holiday of the year, Saint Patrick’s Day! My plans this year are going to be making the Guinness Corned Beef and Cabbage and we’re having a big Cookout at the Ledges to celebrate the day, plus my mate Tony’s birthday we just passed. I better stretch that liver out, I need to be able to put away some of those lovely libations of the draft-can persuasion…

Bouncin’ Birthday Boy

Well, my thirtieth birthday has come and gone, it wasn’t a very big deal as I don’t think that your old until you reach sixty, so I’m only half-way there. (more…)

busy busy busy

Have been working on my new venture (well, venture about two years in the making). I’m working on getting media|extranet up and running.

This site is taking advantage of a few more OOP scripting from the mootools library, which has replaced the prototype library in my toolbox.

Other than that, my wife and I have been looking forward to buying a home, we’re not sure exactly what we want, well, a loft would be tremendous but something in the area we’re living in would be great.

my hair is attacking small children

Okay, my hair grows. But not like normal hair grows, it grows fast and becomes very agitated when confronted by small humans, children mainly but the occasional little person may get in it’s way as well. While I find it funny to a degree my biggest issue is that I’ll cut my hair (have done it myself for years, why pay someone else to now) and it’ll look good a few days later, but for only a couple of days before it again becomes unmanageable. Thank goodness my wife has a license to get us products from State Beauty (apparently you can’t just walk in off the streets to get stuff from this place) or I would have to settle for whatever the local grocery stores offer to keep this monster at bay. If I could freeze-frame that day where I achieve “Perfect Hair Forever” and not allow it to grow, that’d be great. Just a rant, nothing more/less. I suppose one solace is that I don’t grow much hair in other parts of my body, I mean, I could look like a gorilla with my follicle madness, and I don’t dig on the whole simian look.

I dare someone to comment!

I try to post interesting info and such, but alas it’s not very pleasurable to do when nobody seems to ever add their 2¢’s. not that my entries are that fascinating to the masses, but you’d think that with even the minuscule average of sixty unique visitors per day you’d think that one person would relate, right??? Oh well, I could I suppose write about other stuff more, my dreams would make for an interesting read, or what my wife says that I do or say while sleeping. Apparently I’m pretty amusing, lol.

Birthday Approaches…

Well, it’s right around the corner, I will no longer be able to be trusted. That’s what I recall my mother telling me when I was young, never trust anybody over the age of thirty. But why? Why trust anyone under that age for that matter? I don’t know anymore. Lately I’ve been getting into that birthday funk though, it’s not very fun and it’s been wearing me out. It seems that most years I feel this way around my birthday, maybe I have SAD or maybe I’m just CRAZY? Wait, am I crazy? I have often wondered this while I lay in bed staring at the ceiling, my wife lately has grown to dislike this part of me but it’s oddly calming to me. I feel at ease and relaxed, I am guessing it’s because these feelings of late have been breaking me down and causing me to sputter out, knock and ping like so much poor octane. Whatever it is I wish it was over, I look forward to March and February isn’t even here yet?! I sometimes which I could skip February because it’s my birth month, but that wouldn’t really do much but prevent me from numerically reaching life milestones, hope there’s not another kidney stone right around the corner. At any rate, I have a ceiling to stare at for a few minutes so later people.
