FinePix A825

Okay, so I finally sold my old Fuji FinePix S3100 today, it was a great camera for features and being a full featured camera I could have gone the lens route with it, but I never got around to buying lenses so what the hell did I need this monster for? Plus the image stabilization sucked out loud. I need something to snap pictures and go, and something that I can stick in my pocket. I took that money and reinvested in the FinePix A825 and am very thrilled so far.

This post is after just a dozen photos so far, but I’m going to let you see what I’m talking about. I snapped a photo of my cat/security guard Keegan in the Macro mode, low light with flash.

Here’s the thumbnail, click for the full size (I trimmed it down a tad because full size was over 3200px wide, cut it down to 2600px wide).

I believe that I will have a ton of fun photo-wise next time I take this out for a real world example, maybe next week’s Arch Rivals roller derby match…

So far I am very pleased indeed with this camera, it’s only a point and shoot but c’mon, this camera outshines my expectations for the price, I would have easily paid twice the price for the quality.

Video is pretty good as well!

Hey, thanks for writing a review! I just bought this camera (for a trip to Ireland) and your review was the only one I could find online for it. I haven’t used it yet but it seems like a solid camera ( and the price could not be beat.

Thanks Jack "The Knife"!
