I have a friend
Okay, most times when someone starts out with that “See, I have a friend who…” and goes into a dilemma that is en route it’s easily seen that they themselves are their “friend”. What makes me wonder this afternoon, aside from my friend who has a dilemma, is how does a person with only one friend is to tackle this quandary with their only friend? That would make it ten times tougher to not let on that they in fact are having an issue. Sometimes in life you want to seek help and find truth in a situation but you really cannot for a variety of reasons, people try many forms of alternative methods to deal with issues as they arrive. Some people turn to meditation, some to drinking and others to medication, and yet others to all aforementioned devices. So in todays chaotic world which is the best way to effectively solve problems or learn to cope? The sad but simple answer to that question is that I have no idea, not one. What works for Barney may not work for Lizzy, and what works for Lizzy may not help out Jorge, and how Jorge deals with his issues William will never understand. Sometimes it’s best to head off an obstacle headfirst without hesitation, when ripping a band-aid off really quickly it hurts just like if you did it slowly, but it will hurt for a shorter period of time. Other times it’s best to plan an attack, using covert ninja-like skills to catch an obstacle by surprise. in summation, I have a friend …
